Cura 4.2.1 Slicing Config Files for Now Available for gMax 2 and gMax 1.5+ Printers

Now available for download on the gCreate Forum are the Cura 4.2.1 configuration files for gMax 2, gMax 1.5+ and gMax 1.5 XT+ 3D Printers.

Previous gMax Cura configs from the Github were broken when installed in 4.X. With this release we have updated our files to be compatible with the latest version of Cura.

Our team spent a lot of time dialing in these settings and conducted multiple test prints to ensure consistent quality. The results have been truly impressive.

An exciting announcement is the progress in dual extrusion compatibility, which was a struggle in previous versions of Cura. This includes the ability to finetune the restart distance to better control “oozing” (a settings contribution by Cura user vgribinchuk).

The installation process is very simple and a pdf of instructions is included when you download the zip file from our folder. You simply copy our configs into the Cura resource folder.

Download the gMax Cura 4.2.1 config files here and visit Cura to learn more about their general updates for this version including orthographic view, object list, surface ironing, acceleration control, adaptive layers, gradual infill, smart z-seam settings (in custom mode), and much more.
