PLA

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a corn based plastic. While strong, it does not hold up to high heat or extended UV lighting. It will biodegrade in the right conditions over the course of several years. It is the preferred material for early prototyping due to its ease of use, affordability and wide range of colors.
